API & Docs
Give your app
a sense of touch.
A collision. A dial. The tension before a shot. Turn the state of your app into feedback you can feel through a Mac trackpad.
Your app sends local HTTP commands.
FeelMyMac handles the haptics.
Available in FeelMyMac 1.2.0 and later. API access requires a purchased full license.

Choose the API material in FeelMyMac, then connect to 127.0.0.1:59723. No API token, account flow or cloud round trip.
Check the service first. Its response tells your integration whether haptic output is available.

A button settling into place or a ball striking the cushion. Choose a crisp, natural or soft impulse and set its intensity.
POST /v1/impulsesChanging tension
Start a controlled resonance. Update intensity, cadence and sharpness as your app changes, with a transition between values.
POST /v1/resonance/updateYour interaction rules
Keep the sensation while the user holds still, pause it, resume it or stop. Your integration decides when the interaction ends.
POST /v1/resonance/pauseCadence means impulses per second. Sharpness changes the character of the impulse; it does not set the actuator’s physical frequency.

The native API Tester connects to FeelMyMac on your Mac. Try impulses, change resonance parameters live and explore the billiards tension example.
It is a small, separate download. It is not bundled with FeelMyMac and does not replace the app or its license.
macOS 15.1+ · x86_64 + arm64. Requires FeelMyMac with API access enabled and a compatible haptic trackpad.
